About PHLash

PHLash is a rock climbing group for LGBTQIA+ identified folks in the city of Philadelphia and the surrounding metro area. We are a peer-led group whose mission is to build community, empower LGBTQIA+ individuals in the sport of rock climbing, and create a more inclusive environment in the rock climbing community as a whole. We hold regular meetup events for climbers of all skill levels at various gyms across the city, as well as outdoor trips.

All are welcome.

We encourage everyone who has an interest in climbing in an intersectional and queer-friendly environment to join us for a meetup! Supportive and respectful allies are welcome too! For folks new to climbing, we recommend attending an “All-Levels” meetup. If you’ve climbed before, just join us at one of our events. We post our event on Facebook as well as Instagram.
