December PHLash Meetup: Lgbtqia+ Climbing

This event is great for anyone new to climbing. Your host this month is Tess Yardney. After you check in, ask for PHLash or look for the rainbow and trans flags when you arrive and we'll help get you set up. Join us afterwards at a local spot for drinks, snacks, and chats!
The Cliffs has top-roping, lead climbing, and autobelays on the 1st floor and bouldering on the 2nd. Please note that all top-rope routes are set up with GriGris. You have to show competency belaying with a GriGri to be belay certified at the Cliffs. If you need help figuring it out, one of us can show you!
*Day pass + gear*
TBA
A bunch of us have guest passes, so please post below if you’ve got one to share! For folks lead climbing, the Cliffs requires you to use their rope.
*Bathrooms*
There are women's and men's locker rooms and a single stall gender neutral restroom. All are wheelchair accessible from the main floor.
*Accessibility*
The elevator and wheelchair lift are not operational yet. There is backdoor access to the top-roping area on the 1st floor (you'll need a staff escort) but no access to the bouldering area on the 2nd floor. The bathrooms are up a short flight of steps from the top-roping area.

PHLash At the Governor Stable Outdoor comp
This isn't a PHLash specific event, but rather a placeholder for Queers who want to climb together, outdoors, in a safe(r) environment.
From Event organizers:
This event is our main fundraiser for opening GS each year. GS is a special little boulder field littered with high quality boulder problems. We need to raise money each year to pay a lease and insurance so that the general public can enjoy this place. Go to scpclimbers.org for more information.
Carpooling / Crash pad share details will be determined closer to the date. Check FB or Slack for details.
